Corvette Rentals FORT LAUDERDALE

The C8 Corvette Stingray is the smartest dollar in our Fort Lauderdale fleet. Chevrolet moved the engine behind the driver in 2020, kept the price somewhere near $70,000, and built a mid-engine supercar that runs Porsche 911 numbers for a third of the money. It rents accordingly. Clients book the Corvette when they want the supercar look and feel without the supercar deposit, or when they're in town for a track day at Homestead and want a car that handles the role.

A naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 making 495 hp with the Z51 package, sitting eight inches behind the driver's shoulder. The exhaust note is the loudest in our fleet. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, which is faster than a Ferrari 488. The C8 also has the best brakes-to-price ratio of anything we keep, six-piston front calipers that don't fade after a hard hour on Tamiami Trail or 41 South.

GM committed to the "bisected cockpit" look, which is a vertical wall of climate switches running down the center stack between driver and passenger. It's polarizing in print and works in person. The seats are sized for taller drivers (the Corvette has more headroom than a Ferrari or McLaren), the steering wheel is squared off at the top, and the front trunk fits two carry-on bags. There's a small rear trunk too, behind the engine.

The C8 looks more like a Ferrari from twenty feet than most Corvettes did at any distance. Mid-engine proportions, side intakes feeding the V8, flying buttresses behind the cabin glass, and a removable roof panel that stows in the rear trunk. We run ours in Hypersonic Gray with the Carbon Flash badge package, which is the spec that photographs best against South Florida light.

Corvettes are the most-available sports car in our Fort Lauderdale lineup. Same-day pickup is usually possible. The daily rate is the friendliest in the fleet, the insurance picture is simple, and the car handles the same Miami trips a Ferrari would for a fraction of the cost. For first-time exotic rental clients, the C8 is the right place to start.
